I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I did. I apologize for the long gap between posts. I've been doing a lot of things behind the scenes that I hope to be able to show you throughout this new year. One thing I can show you now is a bracelet I made on New Year's day.
It's a memory wire wrap bracelet made from mostly vintage beads. Everything I used was all stuff that I already had. That's not saying much, because I have a room full of stuff to choose from...
I am going to sell it, but not yet, because I want to make more of them in other colors first.
Here is another view:
It is displayed on a large salt shaker, because I do not have an appropriate mannequin hand to put it on. Actually I have a rather embarrassingly large collection of hands for some reason - cast iron ones, porcelain ones, a wooden one - but none of them have the right sized wrist for displaying bracelets. I am currently keeping my eye on eBay and Etsy for a nice vintage one I can use.
I love the look of this pair of santos hands on Etsy:
But they're actually quite tiny. Also they are $545.00. Never mind! I know the right hand is out there somewhere. If you know where it is, please let me know!
